In December we received this letter from one of our educational video customers – Michael DeLeon of Steered Straight. He, like all of us in United States, was reeling from the shootings at Newtown, Connecticut.
His letter prompted us to think about how we can support the country’s renewed commitment to address the impact of violence on our youth.
We all know how strapped schools and agencies who work with our youth are today. Funds to provide much needed violence prevention resources are hard to come by.
So we decided to launch an appeal to individuals, small businesses and foundations to purchase a copy of our acclaimed ENDING THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE CURRICULUM for the SPECIAL PRICE of $150 and DONATE it to a local school, youth program, library or community center.
This groundbreaking video based curriculum was developed by Chariot Videos in conjunction with TKF, a foundation in San Diego whose goal is “to stop youth violence through education, mentorship, and community service programs”
Ending the Cycle of Violence takes a bold new approach to violence prevention by helping youth understand their feelings of hurt and anger, develop empathy for others and learn how to forgive as a way to end the cycle of violence in their own lives and communities.
The program consists of 6 videos. A comprehensive Workbook including Lesson Plans, Reproducible Blackline Masters and Multidisciplinary Activities accompanies the program as a downloadable PDF.
